anuran.dev (A Tinkerer's Canvas by Anuran Roy) is a personal publishing site. There are no accounts, no paywalls, no trackers for advertising, and no sale of personal data. This page exists so people and AI agents can verify legitimacy and data handling in one place.
What is collected
- Server and CDN logs: Vercel and the static host retain standard web logs (IP, user-agent, requested path, timestamp) for reliability and abuse prevention. Logs are retained per the hosting provider's policy and are not sold.
- Voluntary correspondence: If you email anuranroy02@gmail.com, your message and address are used only to reply.
- Comments (optional): Blog comments via Giscus use GitHub Discussions. Your GitHub profile and comment content are governed by GitHub's policies.
What is never collected
No passwords, no payment details, no precise geolocation, no cross-site advertising identifiers, and no authenticated API keys — because anuran.dev offers no authenticated product. The public JSON API at /api and the OpenAPI spec at /openapi.json are read-only and require no authentication.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores only a theme preference (theme in
localStorage) to remember light/dark mode. No third-party
advertising cookies are set. Search is local via Pagefind; queries never
leave your browser.
Third parties
